Introduction To The Club

Set in the heart of Mid-Ulster the "First Royal" Cookstown Northern Ireland Supporters Club (NISC) is one of the largest and longest established clubs in the country. Founded back in 1981 Cookstown Nisc remains proud of their heritage and continues to flourish from their spiritual home in the Royal Hotel Cookstown.

Cookstown Nisc’s sole aim is to promote support for the National team within the local community. The club is a founder member of the Amalgamation of Northern Supporter’s Clubs (AONISC) which strives to establish formal communication lines between the fanbase and the IFA.

Over the years club members have endured, at first hand, the rollercoaster of emotions that are part and partial of supporting our wee country. The club’s history spans the memorable World Cup finals in Spain 82 and Mexico 86 where the boys in green did us very proud. After a lean spell, famous victories over England, Spain and Sweden in the mid 2000’s lifted our spirits once again. This proved to be a false dawn however the Glory days have now returned under the leadership of our very own Michael O'Neill. The Euro 2016 Finals beckon and what a way to celebrate 35 years on the road. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOKSTOWN  NISC 1981 to 2016.

The club banner continues to proudly flutter at the world’s famous and not so famous stadiums. Rest Assured no matter where our beloved Northern Ireland play the Cookstown Nisc banner will remain prominent with our boys and girls adding to the famous Green & White Army (GAWA) roar.

The club remains a great family club as many generations of the same family have remained loyal members since 1981. The club remains an important part of the local community as charity fundraising remains an integral part of our activities. Many local charities and groups have benefited over the 30+ years as the club on average have donated £1,000 every year to worthwhile causes.

Cookstown Nisc is a proud and traditional club steeped in history with many memories to share. Let your journey begin by joining Cookstown Nisc and help KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE. We dare to believe ..... do you ?
