He thanked the members for electing him and assured them that he together with his fellow officers would endeavour to maintain the profile of the club in this it’s 27th year. Finally he thanked Gary and Ricky for travelling from Belfast to conduct the election of officers and for their continued interest and support of our ‘wee club.’

Subscriptions for 2008 are now due and Members are reminded that this must be paid at the next club meeting to be held in the Royal Hotel on Thursday 7th February at 8.00pm.

Prior to Club meeting proceeds of a successful “BBQ and Disco” staged earlier in the year on 21st July were presented to three local health centres. Cheques were presented to the Cookstown Health Centre, Oaks Family Practise and Loy Medical Centre to enable them to acquire essential medical equipment. News COOKSTOWN N.I. FANS SUPPORT LOCAL HEALTH

Summer Barbaque
The club will hold a Midsummer's Barbaque on Sat. 21st June in Cookstown Hockey Club. All proceeds will go to Action Cancer with further details to be presented at the May club meeting.

Gareth Charles Pool Competition
Congratulations to big Derek Farr for being crowned the 2008 Champion after a close fought final with Bob Wylie who for the 3rd year running is the unfortunate bridesmaid. 32 members challenged for this year's title proving the popularity of the event and as a result it had to be spread over 2 nights. Many Thanks to Cookstown Hockey Club for the use of their excellent premises.
